Seeing Vedic astrology everywhere? Chart yours and check it yourself.
Common friction
Everywhere online — still confusing
You see posts about nakshatras and dasha shifts, but can't even name your own nakshatra —usually it's not that you don't get it — the chart never switched to the sidereal zodiac.
AI makes it worse
Ask ChatGPT for a “Vedic chart” and it often just reuses Western signs — nakshatras and dashas get made up —get a chart that's right and checkable first, then ask AI — then the answers have something solid to stand on.
What you get
- Your Moon nakshatra — the “Vedic sign” people talk about online
- Your current mahadasha — which planet is in charge of this life phase
- Rashi chart + marriage/career/children vargas (D9/D10/D7) · North & South Indian chart styles
- A packet any AI can analyze directly
Inside the packet: nine grahas · Lagna · twelve houses · Moon nakshatra & pada · dasha timeline · coordinate system & ayanamsa (verifiable). Dasha and ascendant need birth time and place — birthday-only results elsewhere often won't match.
What is a Vedic / Jyotish birth chart?
You don't need to become a Jyotish astrologer, and you don't have to trust anyone's reading yet — start with what's actually in the chart. Jyotish shares roots with Western astrology but uses the sidereal zodiac, describes nature through the Moon's nakshatra (one of 27), and divides life into nine Vimshottari dasha periods. Astralium isn't here to play guru — we chart and structure data the same way we do for Zi Wei and BaZi. Don't know the terms? Chart it, copy the packet, let your usual AI explain. Want to check the work? The coordinate system, ayanamsa, and every degree are in the packet.
Where AI charts go wrong
- Skips the sidereal zodiac and reuses Western signs as “Vedic signs” — the whole chart sits in the wrong coordinate system
- Approximates Lahiri with a fixed offset — planets and nakshatras near boundaries land in the wrong place
- One nakshatra off, and every Vimshottari dasha start and end year shifts
- Sneaks Neptune or Pluto into the nine grahas, or drops Rahu and Ketu — the wrong planet set entirely
Astralium gets the foundations right: sidereal zodiac with time-varying Lahiri ayanamsa, the standard nine grahas (Rahu and Ketu included), whole-sign houses, nakshatra padas, and the Vimshottari dasha — with the coordinate system and degrees written into the packet. Chart once, and you'll see why copied results elsewhere don't match.
How it works
- Enter birth data or choose a saved profile (unknown birth times are handled too)
- Generate the chart, nakshatra, dasha, and D9/D10/D7 vargas
- Copy the AI reading packet and ask any AI whatever you want
