If you know the date but not the hour: cast 2–4 candidate hours, copy one packet per hour, and paste into the template below. The model compares differences and asks you questions to narrow the field—it does not recast, and it cannot replace checking against your own life history. Can I use these prompts without a chart packet?

Not recommended. Without a real charting engine, birth-date-only input often invents pillars or palaces—a fluent answer can still be the wrong chart. Cast first, copy the full packet, then paste the template. See our accuracy comparison for examples.

Do ChatGPT and Claude use the same prompts?

Yes. Same setup: full packet first, one tradition locked. The blocks below work in ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, and similar tools. If replies run long, add one line under [Output]—e.g. keep under 800 words—no need for a separate template.

How many hour-candidate packets should I paste?

Usually 2–4 candidate hours—one cast and one packet each. More versions narrow further but use more tokens. When one or two hours remain, start a new chat with a single packet for a deeper read. The model compares what you pasted and your answers—it does not recast or declare your hour with certainty.

Can I put Zi Wei and BaZi in one prompt?
